If you are responsible for maintenance at a cement plant, you know the uncertainty well: How much refractory brick is actually left in the firing zone? Until now, the industry has relied on visual inspection and thermal cameras. But at GPR3D we know that when it comes to avoiding million-dollar shutdowns, "guessing" is not enough.

The problem: Thermography arrives late

Thermography is a standard tool, but reactive. When a thermal camera detects a "hot spot" on the shell, the internal damage is already critical. Temperature tells you where there is a problem, but it doesn't tell you how much brick thickness you have left to last until the next technical shutdown.

SFCW Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology changes the game. Unlike temperature, the radar physically measures the remaining thickness of the refractory from the outside, penetrating the steel shell and revealing hidden air voids.
